A program for your wedding

Choose the ceremony, add your names and readings and pick a design that matches the day. The order of service is ready.

I · What matters

A program that is yours

  • Your own words

Choose readings, poems and vows from the library or write your own. Add who reads what.

  • In the style of the day

Three designs, your own color and a photo on the cover, so the program matches the invitation.

  • The order is right

The order of service is ready, with a short note on each part. Your officiant reviews it and approves it.

II · The order

What goes in a wedding program

A wedding program lets your guests follow along and sing along. The cover carries your names, the date and the place. Inside is the order of the ceremony: what happens, who does what and which readings and songs you chose. A program fits every form: a church wedding or a ceremony without a church.

The order of a wedding ceremony

A church wedding opens with the prelude, the processional and a welcome. Then come the scripture readings and a message. The heart of the ceremony is the exchange of vows and rings, followed by the pronouncement and a blessing. The ceremony closes with the recessional. A ceremony without a church chooses its own form: many couples begin with a welcome by the officiant, then their story, a reading or poem, the vows, the rings and a ritual such as a unity candle or sand ceremony, and close with the presentation of the couple.

What is fixed and what you choose

In a church wedding the prayers and the order are set by the church. Your officiant has the last word. You choose the readings, the songs, who reads what and the words on the front and the back. Ordofolio puts the fixed parts in the right place and shows where your choices fit.

III · How it works

Four steps

  1. Choose the ceremony

A church wedding or a ceremony without a church. The order of service is then ready.

  2. Fill in the parts

Your names, the readings, the songs and who does what. Choose from the library or write your own.

  3. Pick the design

A classic, modern or quiet layout, with your own color and a photo.

  4. Let your officiant review and print

Your officiant approves the program. Then you print at home, at a print shop or with a printer.

V · Questions

Frequently asked questions

What goes in a wedding program?

The cover carries your names, the date and the place. Inside, the ceremony follows step by step: the welcome, the readings or your story, the vows, the songs and who does what. The back often holds a thank-you note or the invitation to the reception.

Can I make the program in our own style?

Yes. Choose a classic, modern or quiet layout, your own color and a photo on the cover. You choose the texts from the library or write your own, so the program is yours.

How far ahead should the program be ready?

Allow a week for printing, especially at a print shop. Let your officiant review it first: they have the last word on the ceremony. Print one copy as a proof before you print the whole run.

Should the vows be in the program?

That is up to you. You can print the vows so guests can read them again. You can also keep them as a surprise and put only the heading in the program.

Who can see the program?

Only you, as long as you do not share it. Everything stays in your browser on your own device. If you share a link, the program is encrypted and the key sits in the link. Our server cannot read it.
